Some times is a difficult job to find the exact cron command to execute on a shared server due to various differences in configurations.
The CRON command on Godaddy hosting which worked for me is below.
Note the -mdefault flag at the end of the command, this is required to get this working on shared servers.
This cron job runs every 3 minutes.

Great,I was pulling my hair out all day trying to setup cron on by Godaddy shared hosting account for a Magento website. Thanks alot!
This did not work for me. I’m using a VPS from godaddy.
Did you check the permissions on the cron script ?
Shared hosting is not for Magento. Magento is a resource intensive platform. It requires at least 1 core cpu and 2 gb ram on Dedicated server. You need at a VPS if you want your Magento store to perform better. If you don’t have linux skills to manage your VPS, then you can try out Cloudways managed hosting platform where you can host Magento on 1 click.
